Kaulumaika's mission is to redefine the world's perspective of Hawaiian culture through creativity, community, and education. Kaulumaika was founded by couple Malu and Emily. They grew up in Hawaii but knew little about the history and culture of our Hawaiian ancestors because of the lack of perpetuation of what is authentically Hawaiian. Before starting a family of their own, they decided to start educating themselves in Hawaiian language, culture, flora and fauna so that they could improve the narrative, perpetuate our culture respectfully and responsibly, and redefine the world's perspective of what Hawaii is.
