OUR HEART

At Valia Honolulu, we call ourselves a boutique with heart. This is what guides us as we navigate through the right decisions for our business. ⁠

We love supporting small local businesses and helping them to share their stories. We take pride in the relationships we create with other small business owners. As they say, rising tides raises all ships! If we collaborate and support each other, we can all grow together.⁠

We love supporting our local community and working with non-profits. We have a great partnership with YWCA O‘ahu and have put together fundraisers, clothing drives and created products with a portion of proceeds to donate! We’ve also worked with other organizations – Boys and Girls Club of Hawaii, Ma‘i Movement and Goodwill Hawaii.⁠

We believe great customer service is simple - treat others how you would like to be treated. Some of our favorite moments are being a part of our customers lives as they go through big events and watching their families grow. We’re truly grateful and honored when they share these moments with us!

We believe in doing right by our team. People work for people, not companies. We are a very small team and work like a second family. We believe it is important to fostering relationships to build positive work environments through transparency, communication, support and teamwork.⁠

OUR BEGINNINGS

Valia Honolulu was founded in November of 2016 by owner, Camille Heung. The boutique started with a childhood dream when Camille fell in love with fashion at a young age. Growing up in Hong Kong and Hawaii, she would enjoy looking for new and unique clothing and accessories in Hong Kong’s fashion shopping district and flipping through American magazines, watching runway shows on TV and learning more about garments and fabrics. She decided entrepreneurship was her path in middle school and thought if she saved a dollar a day, she would one day be able to live that dream. The piggy bank never seemed to hold onto those dollar bills but regardless that dream became a reality.

OUR PRODUCTS 

We are a curated women's boutique located in Chinatown Honolulu carrying clothing, jewelry, stationery, gift, keiki (children’s) products and more. We are passionate about supporting small, local and handmade businesses. We want to make shopping small and supporting local easier for you by stocking our shop with mainly products that are Made in Hawaii, Designed in Hawaii or Handmade with Aloha. We love to get to know the people behind the brand so we can pass that connection onto you. We believe your purchase should come with a story; how it's made, where it's made, who made it or when you wore it. 

OUR NAME 

The name VALIA is our feminine interpretation of the word valiant. Strong. Brave. Fearless. We want the boutique and clothing to encourage women to be proud of their strength, feel confident, support each other, be comfortable in their skin and be kind to themselves.
